Fracture Filling

Fracture filling is a diamond treatment to artificially enhance the apparent clarity.  This treatment does not remove the fracture but makes it invisible or hard to detect by filling it with glass that has a refractive index similar to diamond.  Diamonds with fracture filling are often low clarity and the fractures so large the diamond may be in danger of breaking.
