Fish-eye

The fish-eye effect is given its name because it resembles a large dead fish’s eye.  It looks like a large circular inclusion visible under the table, but in reality it is actually reflection of the girdle due to poor proportions in a round diamond.  The fish eye occurs with a combination of a shallow pavilion angle, a large table and a very thick or extremely thick girdle.
