The depth of the diamond encompasses the crown height, girdle thickness and pavilion depth. It is expressed as a percentage of the diamonds diameter or width. The depth percentage is determined by dividing the total depth by the average diameter for rounds, or the total depth by the width for fancy shapes.
Each diamond shape has an ideal depth percentage that maximizes its brilliance and scintillation. Please refer to our diamond search page to find the recommended depth percentages for the diamond shape you desire.
We are open Monday through Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 11am to 4pm Pacific Standard Time.
